Awards of the Hepworth Wakefield art gallery
Just a year after the grand opening, the art gallery, in the year 2012, it was named the Regional building of the year. This award was given to the gallery by the Royal Institute of British Architects. Also, in the year 2012, the gallery was also shortlisted for The Art Fund Prize. The gallery was named the United Kingdom’s museum of the year in the year 2017.
